Moving on with our new Webinar Series, today I’m breaking down the inside info on an ad campaign I did a few years ago for a boutique in Los Angeles called Church. The owner, Rodney Burns, was a really good friend of mine and we did a lot of beautiful collaborations together. On this shoot, he wanted to showcase some of the jewelry that he sold at his boutique. Church is a high-end, celebrity-focused store in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Boulevard. Everything about this place is monumental. It even looks like an art museum when you walk in!
For this shoot we decided on a model from Photogenics named Alli Cripe. Alli is a natural redhead with flawless skin and Raphaelite features. She’s almost angelic looking. We wanted a renaissance feel, something regal and forbidden and untouchable but sexy! Tall order, but I think we got it! The hair was so big and voluminous, we paled her skin even more in makeup, and we added a few clothing highlights to accentuate and compliment the jewelry.
Hope you are enjoying this new series because I am enjoying doing them! Register to watch the next Episode of How I got the Shot this wednesday.
