I suggest creating an additional style board if you are working with a stylist for the first time. If you want to see, let us say, suits, specify what kind. What color palette, style, and epoch. Do you want bright high heels on the set because you already have that special shot in mind? Put it in the style board! Shooting evening dresses? Do you see volume or something showing the body shape? Specify and explain why. Maybe the fashion stylist can suggest something better. You can find most pictures and references in the big online stores and fashion sites. Make sure to follow up with explanations, and communicate clearly. Such approach will help you to avoid any surprises on the set and before long you will be on your way to building a strong team.
