Breed Chats with Nick Sabatalo Editor-in-Chief of 35MM Magazine
I’m very happy to introduce you to our latest Breed Team member, Nick Sabatalo. He got his start in the Fashion industry as a model and was inspired to move behind the lens with a focus on shooting film. Nick has joined us here at Breed as our ambassador to shooting film.
Nick Sabatalo resides in Downtown Los Angeles and is the Founder, Editor-In-Chief, & Creative Director for 35mm Magazine. Sabatalo first stepped into the industry as a model and his work took him international. In the midst of modeling he discovered photography after shooting with an especially talented and inspiring film photographer, Kenji Onglao. It was this shoot that inspired Sabatalo to shoot and to primarily focus on film photography. You could say this is the shoot that started it all for 35mm Magazine. As a photographer he is focused on his work being published in other publications, gaining professional representation, and printing his fine art work for gallery shows. Sabatalo is inspired by the work of late Helmut Newton, Paolo Roversi, Irving Penn, and living Peter Lindbergh, Juergen Teller, and Harley Weir. Sabatalo has started an “inspirational artist blog” and you can subscribe to his newsletter to receive beautiful visual content paired with motivation and personal development. Nick will be teaching Fashion Film workshops in Los Angeles for Breed. More details to follow.
